Today we visited the Command house, ex home of late Ong Teng Cheong and very late Percival (without permission). The gate was wide open and there were no guards. So my grandpa decided to drive in.

I think it was much bigger than I expected, the grounds were huge with nice gardens (second only to the Istana on the size of the land). There were 6 buildings that looked colonial and quite grand. We only saw this very bored gardener who didnt even bother to know who we were.

And for the whole of my life I thought the house was haunted.

Anyway. I made sponge drops from Nigella but there were so gross I threw them away. So I made the cakey cookie base for black and whites and sandwiched between whipped cream and strawberries.
